Systems Administrator - HOT OPENING!
Candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows Servers, to include Commercial Software packages. Candidate will also be responsible for Active Directory, maintain system documentation, manage server/software configurations, establish and enforce procedures, collect performance metrics and participate in capacity planning. In addition, the candidate will troubleshoot performance issues utilizing root cause analysis and address system issues.
* DOD Secret Clearance with SSBI
* 6 plus years of experience in the field or in a related area.
* Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent where equivalent is defined as an Associate’s Degree plus two years of relevant experience OR four years of relevant experience
Systems Engineer Specialist
Ideal candidate should have 5 - 6 years of experience, ability to use various servers, storages and workstation platforms and have excellent written and verbal skills. This position will provide remote or on-site system integration, administration, and Tier 3 support to operational customer sites worldwide, to include, but are not limited to the following and requires a TS/SCI Clearance.
Designs, develops, modifies, writes and implements SQL and PL/SQL processes in Oracle to convert source data to the Linx database. Candidate must have proficient to advanced knowledge of both SQL and PL/SQL in an Oracle environment and be able to author/modify complex SQL queries used to extract data form source systems. Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration concepts (setup, install, backup/restore), good written and verbal skills and knowledge of Law Enforcement source data is desirable.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Coordinates installations and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.
